Already tried training?
Get the right advice to transform your dachshund's behaviour...
The majority of cases we see have already tried numerous trainers and dog behaviourists with no success. Most training fails because it doesnât address the root cause of the dogâs behavioural struggles. By signing up for a personalised transformation plan and scheduling vet-led behaviour video consultations with a Behavet clinician, you'll learn why your dachshund behaves the way they do, and discover what you should ACTUALLY be doing to solve their behaviour challenges!

Why video consultations work best...
We used to offer in-person consultations, but found that dogs do best in their own calm, familiar environment. Video consultations allow us to work with you and your dog without putting either of you in stressful situations, which ultimately leads to better and faster results!Â

Dachshund reactivity can be helpedÂ
I did not believe anyone could help my 3 year old miniature dachshund who was reactive to other dogs.Â
Despite my best efforts, the techniques I used only helped me to avoid reactivity. It was causing tension in my relationship because going out was dreadful.
Our behaviourist explained the gap in Toffees learning, and off we went applying the advised new techniques.
The transformation in Toffee was noticeable, and suddenly Toffee was less reactive. We visited pubs and cafes, she is not the type of dog flopped on the floor but we managed a quiet pint with NO reactivity.
I now feel empowered to deal with anything that comes our way!
Reactive miniature dachshund - what a difference!
We were desperate having tried previous behaviourists - walks were stressful - our girl would react at the sight of dogs, passing vehicles and anything that moved.
Our Behavet Behaviourist was amazing, creating an easy to follow and fun to implement games based training plan. We are now able to join local dog walks where up to 25 dogs and owners walk together without our girl reacting and she disengages from passing vehicles without barking and chasing.
We were able to make contact in-between our consultations to get advice and we receive very detailed responses on how to tweak the training games. Without Behavet we would still be having stressful walks, whereas we now look forward to going out for a walk!Â
Dachshund barking nightmare sorted!Â
We have two miniature dachshunds - a smooth and a wire-haired -Â after some bad advice, we naively got the second thinking theyâd calm the first down. Instead, it was just double the trouble, and they just set each other off, barking at every noise, even the wind, and the postman was a dreaded daily nightmare!
The constant barking was making life stressful and getting us down - we were at our wits end!
Thank goodness for Behavet - Our behaviourist helped us understand what was going on and gave us simple, realistic things to work on day to day. Now the girls are so much calmer, the barking has massively reduced, and our home finally feels peaceful again.
